Office Assistant, DO CLAE

Position Type: Federal Work Study Only

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Main Office Administrative Assistant 

The CHASS Office Assistant will provide front-line customer service for faculty, staff, students, and the community, provide office organizational support to the CHASS Main Office staff, and be responsible for taking on a variety of office support tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist front desk reception areas for in-person support.
  • Perform receptionist duties when needed.
  • Prioritize tasks in a multi-phone line system and fast-paced environment.
  • Sort and distribute communications promptly.
  • Assist the Operations Manager to maintain supply inventory in preparation for ordering.
  • Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases/file storage as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and culturally respectful interaction.
  • Assist students with general college navigation.
  • Help organize and maintain office common areas.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One-Two years of customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Responsible, professional, flexible, and dependable.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 10-20lbs if needed.

Anticipated Schedule: 

  • Flexible between 8:30am-5pm.
